Gerlach Water Tower Park
Listed on the National Registrar of Historic places, the Gerlach Water Tower was built in 1909 to serve the needs of the railroad and the town. The 30′ redwood tower slowly fell into disrepair after 1953 when it ceased to be used. In 2006 the Ladies Auxiliary helped to raise funds for repairs and with help from Burning Man, restored the water tower to it’s former beauty.
Today, the Gerlach Water Tower Park offers cool shade, picnic tables and barbecue stands.
