Black Rock Mud Company
Black Rock Mud Company was founded in 2010 by two “mudders”: Shelly Egbert and Summer Powelson. For years, Shelly’s family has owned a special piece of property near Gerlach known as The Great Boiling Springs. Black Rock Mud is 100% organic mineral-rich mud that finds its way to the earth’s surface through small bubbling mud volcanoes unique to the Great Boiling Springs property. Our mud is hand-harvested and hand-packaged in recyclable, biodegradable, and plantable packaging made only in the USA. In addition to packaging and product, Black Rock Mud Company not only supports, but also employs eco-friendly practices. 89.5 FM KLAP Radio
Tune in to 89.5 FM for some of the best tunes around. KLAP 89.5 Community Radio was founded by Jeff Cotton of OpenSkyRadio. (Think old school KTHX days, and Reno’s heyday of independent music with the likes of the late Bruce Van Dyke) KLAP plays eclectic Americana music, truly some of the best sounds of the desert. The station’s broadcast range is from Squaw Pass to Limbo Grade and parts of Pyramid Lake. KLAP is a community-run non-profit.
