Royal Ambulance, with advanced life support, is currently providing EMS services in the Gerlach area through year-end 2027 with an optional two-year extension. Some emergencies are an automatic call to Care Flight for helicopter transport. The Gerlach General Improvement District provides water, disposal and sewer services to the residents of the community.  The office is located within the Gerlach Community Center. GGID is governed by an elected Board of Directors (Board Chairman and four Board Members). Gerlach K-12 Schools is the new name for the former Gerlach High School. The school is located in the old Johnson Elementary building and is essentially a one room schoolhouse one teacher, teaching K – 8th grades.   We have high school students enrolled at our school who are taking online high school courses.
