Gerlach General Improvement District (GGID) and Community Center
The Gerlach General Improvement District provides water, disposal and sewer services to the residents of the community. The office is located within the Gerlach Community Center. GGID is governed by an elected Board of Directors (Board Chairman and four Board Members). Meetings Public meetings are held once a month on the first Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm at the Gerlach Community Center. Gerlach Senior Center
Gerlach Senior Center offers home cooked meals every day. Meals served daily at noon. Everyone is invited. Seniors 60 and over: $2.00 donation requested. Under 60: $4.00 donation required. Gerlach K-12 Schools
Gerlach K-12 Schools is the new name for the former Gerlach High School. The school is located in the old Johnson Elementary building and is essentially a one room schoolhouse one teacher, teaching K – 8th grades. Gerlach was settled in 1906 when Western Pacific came through creating the third and final transcontinental rail line through Nevada. The railroad traversed the property belonging to Louis Gerlach, setting his livestock company up for easy transportation. The railroad named the supply outpost after Gerlach, and it served as a stop until 1953.

Bruno’s Country Club
Bruno’s is perhaps Gerlach’s most iconic landmark. Built in 1952 by Italian immigrant Bruno Selmi, Bruno’s Country Club is a bar/casino, restaurant and motel. Bruno’s is currently for sale.
