Covering Pyramid Lake to the Oregon Border

The Gerlach Volunteer Fire Department offers fire and emergency medical services to the surrounding community.

The GVFD is part of the Washoe County Fire Suppression division. The fire department has four fire trucks ad ambulences.

Volunteers are trained for structure and wildland fires. The ambulances are intermediate life support. Some emergencies are an automatic call to Care Flight for helicopter transport.

Covering from Pyramid Lake to the Oregon Border and parts of Pershing and Humbolt Counties.
